During the month of Saka Dawa, We have accumulated 152,084 in total Hundred Syllable Vajrasattva Mantra & 120,207 Six Syllable Vajrasattva Mantra which is much more than what we targeted initially and it is such a joy to see the participation of so many people from different countries. Saka Dawa is the month during which we believe that any positive or negative karma accumulated will be multiplied by million times. Today in the world, whole sentient beings are suffering, suffering because of war, sickness, greed, jealousy and hatred. Every one is creating a suffering and unceasing karma of suffering for themselves which when we think about, for a moment, it is truly sad that how every one is creating this tarnished karma for own. On that account, it is all the more important for each one of the Buddha Dharma Practitioners to take out some time from our daily life and dedicate in doing prayers and including every mother sentient beings in it. It would be highly beneficial to do some resolution for this one month; for instance like becoming vegetarian for this Saka Dawa month, practising the release of life as much as possible, helping and practising generosity, and lastly but not the least disciplining oneself into dharma practises like prostration and purification and many others.
Here, though, we focus on mindfully recitinng the king o fmantra - the hundred syllable mantra. In Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist practice, Vajrasattva mantra is used in the Ngondro, or preliminary practices, in order to dissolve and purify the mind’s defilements, prior to undertaking more esoteric tantric techniques.Chanting of this 100 syllable mantra brings great benefit to the practitioner and has the effect of deluded habitually tendencies, clearing obstacles, conflicting negative emotions, negative habits of all kinds and unresolved karmic debts.
In The tantra of immaculate confession says:
The hundred syllable mantras is the quintessence of the mind of all the sugatas. It purifies all violations, all breaches, all conceptual obscurations. It is the supreme confession, and to recite one hundred and eight times without interruption repairs all violations and breaches and will save one from tumbling into the three lower realms. The buddhas of past, present and future will look on the yogi who recites it as a daily practice as their most excellent child, even in this very lifetime, and will watch over and protect him. At his death, he will undoubtedly become the finest of all the buddha’s heir. And Patrul Rinpoche says that the hundred syllable mantra is superior to all other mantras, you must know that there is no more profound practice than this.
The benefits and power of the hundred-syllable mantra are simply innumerable. The Stainless Confession Tantra says: The hundred-syllable mantra is the essence of all the buddha's wisdom and it can purify all the obscurations of broken precepts and conceptual thoughts. It is the king of purification. If one continously recites it 108 times at one meditation session, all the broken precepts will be restored, and one will obtain liberation from the three lower realms. Any practitioner who aspires to recite this mantra will not only be watched and protected as the most favourite child of all the buddhas in future lifetimes.
Moreover, according to the Essential Ornament, the Guhyasamaja commentaries concur, saying that by reciting the hundred-syllable mantra jst twenty-one times, negative karma will not multiply and the mind will be blessed. These commentaries also agree that by recitinng the hundred-syllable mantra one hundred thousand times, it will completely purity all negative karma, even the negative karma accrued by a fully ordained person breaking every vow.
One Indian Text describes the benefit this way:
Whoever chants the hundred syllables is not struck by sickness, pain or early death.

Whoever chants the hundred syllables obtains a son if a son he wants or wealth if wealth if he wants, if land he lacks then, land he gains.
Whoever wants longevity, should chant the hundred syllables,
and, when he thinnks his years are spent,
he will find three hundred more are sent !
The same man, happy in this world,
in Sukhavati will be born.
